Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl give players who want to complete the Pokedex a true challenge. Within the games, there are Pokemon that can only be caught under very specific circumstances, and this isn't limited to just legendaries.
There are Pokemon that are time-locked and some that only appear after completing hidden quests. Spiritomb is one such Pokemon, and players that are hoping to get the ghost-type onto their team are going to need to jump through a few hoops before it appears. The guide below goes over everything you need to know about making Spiritomb appear in your game.
Where To Find Spiritomb
Spiritomb is located on route 209 between Hearthome City and Solaceon Town. He is found in a crumbled tower along the route, but you will need to do a bit of running to make Spiritomb appear.
Luckily, this isn't a one-time encounter Pokemon, and trainers are free to catch as many Spiritombs as they want, as long as they have the patience required to spawn them.
How To Unlock Spiritomb
To get Spiritomb, you will need to complete a few tasks first; below is how to trigger Spiritomb.
- Get the Odd Keystone from the trainer near the trees on route 208.
- Take the Odd Keystone to the crumbled tower and insert it.
- Go to the Grand Underground and speak with 32 trainers, not counting traders or healers.
- Return to the Hallowed Tower and interact with it to catch Spiritomb.
It can take quite some time to speak with 32 trainers in the underground, so Spiritomb may be the type of Pokemon you wish to work towards over time.
Keep in mind that you can speak with online trainers to meet this requirement, and there are several groups out there right now who will help you get your Spiritomb quota.
You are allowed to use the method to spawn multiple Spiritombs, but it is a pretty tedious method, so it's not recommended after getting the first one. If you want to get multiple Spiritombs, then breeding is the easiest way to gain access to the Pokemon.
Maybe updates aren't always a good idea.
