Gaming chairs are a necessity to have fun while playing games, but they certainly elevate the experience. Whether you’re looking for comfort, style, ergonomic support, or just a gaming chair that looks good supporting you while you’re streaming on-camera, there is no shortage of gaming chair options out there available to you.

If the gamer in your life is in need of a chair upgrade for their desk or gaming setup this holiday season, here are some of our favorite gaming chairs fit for any budget.

DXRacer Air Mesh Gaming Chair

DXRacer Air Hed

I’ve had a couple different DXRacer chairs in my lifetime, and after finding the DXRacer Boss Series, I wasn’t sure another DXRacer chair would ever top it. I was wrong.

The DXRacer Air Mesh Gaming Chair is an incredibly comfortable chair with its breathable mesh lining and spring-suspension support. The built-in adjustable lumbar support perfectly suits my back as well, which is a great thing considering I have a mild case of scoliosis. It’s the headrest pillow that I love the most, though, with its cloud-like comfort.

However, as a 6’2” individual, I feel as though I am toeing the line of being too big for the chair, so keep that in mind if you’re buying a chair for a taller gamer. Otherwise, you can’t do wrong with this chair.

The DXRacer Air Mesh Gaming Chair is available for purchase on DXRacer's website and is currently on sale for $422.10 (Reg. $469.99).

AndaSeat T-Pro 2 Series

T-Pro 2 1

More like a recliner than a typical gaming chair, the AndaSeat T-Pro 2 is one of the loungiest chairs I’ve ever come across. While sitting at a desk, it works perfectly fine as a work or gaming chair. However, the AndaSeat T-Pro 2 is a wonderful chair just for kicking back, relaxing, and watching a movie.

The detachable lumbar support pillow is also one of the more comfortable and efficient pillows I’ve used, creating a cozy, yet supported feeling while working and gaming.

The AndaSeat T-Pro 2 Series Premium Gaming Chair is available for purchase on AndaSeat’s website and is currently on sale for $349.99 (Reg. $549.99)

AndaSeat Jungle Series Premium Gaming Chair

AndaSeat Cover

Looking for a more traditional gaming chair? AndaSeat’s Jungle Series Premium Gaming Chair has you covered.

The Jungle Series features a more traditional racing chair design and is made of PVC leather. The ergonomically designed chair works just as well for tall gamers as it does for shorter ones, keeping you comfortable for your longer gaming sessions. I personally did away with the detachable lumbar support pillow as it is too firm for me, but if that sounds up your alley, then you won’t be disappointed.

The AndaSeat Jungle Series Premium Gaming Chair is available for purchase on AndaSeat’s website and is currently on for $179.99 (Reg. $349.99)

Mavix M4

The Mavix M4 may just be the most versatile chair on this list. The cooling Mavix Mesh and Spacer Mesh, dynamic variable lumbar support, and adjustable headrest, the M4 is perfect for work or play.

On top of all that, the M4 is actually capable of helping me feel refreshed through my 8-12 hour work days. As I state in my review:

“‘Traditional’ gaming chairs don’t necessarily rejuvenate me when reclining due to their firmness. When I recline on the M4, however, it actually feels like my body gets refreshed, allowing me to work or game for longer periods.”

I’ve leaned back in the chair multiple times while writing this article, and each time I do, I end up feeling a bit more refreshed and ready to keep typing. It’s an odd, yet amazing feeling, and more than reason enough for me to recommend this chair over and over again.

The Mavix M4 Gaming Chair is available for purchase on Mavix’s website and is currently on sale for $444.44 (Reg. $488.88)

Mavix M9

Mavix M9 Front

If you’re wondering which gaming chair is on MY wishlist this holiday season, it’s undoubtedly the Mavix M9. The M9 comes with many of the same features as the M4, but instead of a cooling mesh, comes with a cool gel memory foam seat with M-Breeze Fabric, keeping you cool and comfortable during even the most intense of online multiplayer matches.

Our own Jon Bitner reviewed the M9, stating, “After spending hundreds of hours plunked down on its memory foam seat, I can confidently say that the M9 is one of the best gaming chairs money can buy.“

This chair is by far the most expensive chair on our list, but speaking as someone who has constant lower back pain, Jon’s review has me more than convinced that the M9 is well worth the price.

The Mavix M9 Gaming Chair is available for purchase on Mavix’s website and is currently on sale for $999.00 (Reg. $1,099.99).

Flexispot Sit2Go 2-in-1

Flexispot Sit2Go

If you’re in the market for a different type of gaming chair, or you’re trying to get a jump on those healthy New Year’s resolutions, the Flexispot Sit2Go 2-in-1 is the chair for you.

The Flexispot Sit2Go 2-in-1 combines a desk chair with a spinning cycle, allowing you to spin while sitting at your desk and working or gaming. It may take a day or two of getting used to, but soon you’ll be spinning without a second thought, working off those extra holiday calories. I use mine in conjunction with my Flexispot L-Shaped Office Adjustable Desk E1L, which allows me to stand or workout – both options helping me live a slightly healthier lifestyle while I’m working and gaming.

Honorable Mention: DXRacer Boss Series Gaming Chair

via DXRacer

The DXRacer Boss Series Gaming Chair looks like it’s discontinued, but if you were ever to come across a new or slightly used one at a reasonable price, you’d be wise to snatch it up right away.

I’ve had my Boss Series chair for almost two years, and it still delivers comfort and cushioning that I use to this day. We’d all love to sit in the “boss’s chair.” The DXRacer Boss Series Gaming Chair allows you to do just that.
